Tactegra was recently presented with a Pro Patria Award from the North Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
The ESGR Pro Patria Award is presented annually by each ESGR State Committee to to one small, one large, and one public sector employer in their state. It is the highest level award given by a state ESGR committee. Recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserves. Tactegra is the 2016 Pro Patria recipient for the small business sector.
In addition to the Pro Patria Award, Tactegra was presented with the 2016 Above and Beyond Award. This award is presented by ESGR State Committees to recognize employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits, and other similar benefits.
Tactegra was nominated for the Department of Defense’s highest employer honor, the Freedom Award, which is given to only 15 employers. Tactegra was one of 100 Freedom Award finalists out of more than 4,000 nominations nationwide. Cristina Moore, a Senior Consultant for Tactegra, nominated Tactegra for the Freedom Award. Moore is a Deputy Brigade Commander and member of the NC National Guard.
